LITTER PICK MARCH 7TH 2026

The 16th village litter pick took place on 7th March.

Unfortunately it appears to be the case that too many people are totally irresponsible with regard to their duty to deposit litter in a bin or take it home.

Consequently the annual litterpick is an important part of attempting to keep the countryside free of rubbish. Some residents may have observed that some of the roads which receive attention are beyond our parish boundary, but, as far as I am aware, neither Sulgrave nor Moreton Pinkney organise a litter pick. This year there were a total number of 22 persons helping with the task, so it was possible to include all road verges which are normally covered, which is quite satisfying.

However, if you should see bits of litter which have been missed, don’t tell me: instead pick it up yourself and dispose of it responsibly.
My thanks to all who took part, especially to the Ruffley family for covering the Chipping Warden road as far as Trafford Bridge and the Charles Buckley and his staff for collecting the bags which totalled 30.
